Hailing from a large family in Moldova, one of Europe’s poorest countries, Igor Cheban’s early life taught him many lessons. He learned the value of hard work and ambition but also developed a drive to serve others and support his community. From a young age, he understood the Golden Rule: Treat others how you want to be treated.
When Igor migrated to the United States in 2000, those values came with him. Over the following years, he worked steadily toward building a career. He earned a degree in HVAC technology, gained experience working with local contractors and began preparing to form his own air conditioning company. Igor realized his dream in early 2017, launching 1st Choice Heating and Air in Knoxville, TN.
